| Breaking News |  | Wednesday, June 16th, 2010: McGowan Spins Shutout In an excellent mound performance, Dustin McGowan of the Toronto Blue Jays whitewashed the Milwaukee Brewers 6-0 on a 2-hitter.
He said after the game, "I had my best stuff and did a good job of mixing up my pitches."
The Milwaukee manager said, "We just didn't swing the bats well today. McGowan did a good job keeping us guessing."
In all, the Toronto hurler rang up 16 strikeouts and 1 walk in the shutout win.
So far in 2010 McGowan has compiled a 9-3 record with a 2.66 ERA. |  | Saturday, June 12th, 2010: Blue Jays Win, Shut Out Cardinals Bob Keppel of the Toronto Blue Jays was masterful today, pitching a 4-hit 8-0 shutout against the St. Louis Cardinals and giving his bullpen a rest by going the the distance.
According to his manager, "He had command of every ball and every pitch . . . great location, too." Keppel had 16 strikeouts and issued no walks in an impressive outing.
This year Keppel has worked 98.2 innings with 120 strikeouts en route to a 7-6 record and 3.92 ERA. |  | Saturday, May 29th, 2010: Toronto and Philadelphia Agree to Trade The Toronto Blue Jays have parted ways with 29-year old right fielder Reggie Abercrombie, 21-year old minor league shortstop Kevin Ahrens, 20-year old minor league starting pitcher Jacob Odorizzi, 35-year old starting pitcher Luis Estrella, 24-year old minor league left fielder Alex Presley and 23-year old minor league right fielder Scott Van Slyke, sending him to the Philadelphia Phillies for 33-year old starting pitcher Randy Wolf and 26-year old shortstop Jonathan Fulton. The Blue Jays general manager confirmed the deal in an announcement this morning.
This year Estrella has worked 16.2 innings with 20 strikeouts en route to a 0-2 record and a 9.72 ERA.
So far this year Wolf has made 11 starts, tossed 67.2 innings, struck out 58 batters and walked 21.
