During the season the new champs compiled a 33-27 record in the American - A Central Division and finished in second place in the standings. "I've been good sometimes and bad sometimes," he said.
This time he made the Lake Elsinore Storm look bad 13-0.
Maine tossed a 3-hit shutout against them, totaling 5 strikeouts and giving up 1 walk.

C. Maybin hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off J. Unknown in the 5th, singled in the 6th and doubled in the 8th.
