| Breaking News | | Monday, August 16th, 2010: McNiven Records Shutout Against Harrisburg "I hope we miss him next time," the Harrisburg manager said. "McNiven certainly pitched a strong game against us today. He was in a groove, throwing everything for strikes. Throwing hard. Changing speeds."
The New Britain starter tamed the Harrisburg Senators 4-0 with a 5-hit shutout, finishing the game with 6 strikeouts and no walks in a sharp outing.
"I enjoy facing a team like that where I can get an out on one, two or three pitches," McNiven said. "It gives me a chance to be a lot more aggressive."

In 30 starts, he has fanned 140 batters in 208.1 innings with a 3.11 ERA. | | Friday, July 2nd, 2010: Perry Whitewashes Mets All went well for Ryan Perry of the Harrisburg Senators as he pitched his team to a 2-0 shutout victory over the Binghamton Mets, limiting them to 2 hits while ringing up 10 strikeouts and surrendering 2 walks.
In the postgame interview, both managers had glowing things to say about Perry.
His manager described him this way: "He's got a good selection of pitches he can throw at a guy. He changes speed, gives different looks to different hitters. When he's on his game, he's quite a handful."
The Binghamton skipper said, "He doesn't give you anything twice. It's a guessing game with him and today my club was always guessing wrong."
In 20 starts this year Perry has posted 11 wins while suffering 6 losses. He has pitched 153 innings, allowed 127 hits, struck out 130 and has a 2.65 ERA. | | Tuesday, June 29th, 2010: BaySox Blank Senators Bowie hurler Mark Trumbo was at his best as he whitewashed the Harrisburg Senators 1-0 today.
