He told his pitching philosophy to sportswriters in the postgame interview after his 4-0 victory over Trenton. He blanked them on a 6-hitter, allowed 1 walk and had 6 strikeouts. "I really felt comfortable the whole game," Trumbo said. His manager echoed his comments, saying, "He hit his spots time and time again." Friday, June 11th, 2010: Buck Humbles Connecticut Dallas Buck had an impressive outing today. He hurled the Bowie BaySox to a 4-0 shutout victory over the Connecticut Defenders, yielding 4 hits with 12 strikeouts and 1 walk. "He threw strikes and he was always around the plate," the Connecticut skipper said. "The ball was doing everything he wanted it to do. We hit some balls hard, but they were all right at the fielders." So far this year Buck has a 9-6 record with a 3.03 ERA. Tuesday, June 8th, 2010: Trumbo Blanks Reading All went well for Mark Trumbo of the Bowie BaySox as he pitched his team to a 1-0 shutout victory over the Reading Phillies, limiting them to 1 hit while ringing up 4 strikeouts and surrendering 2 walks. In the postgame interview, both managers had glowing things to say about Trumbo. His manager described him this way: "He's got a good selection of pitches he can throw at a guy. He changes speed, gives different looks to different hitters. When he's on his game, he's quite a handful." The Reading skipper said, "He doesn't give you anything twice.
