 | Monday, September 6th, 2010: Washington Hopeless Against Reynolds
Gregory Reynolds was sneaky fast, on the mark and hard to hit today. He blanked the Washington Nationals 4-0 on 4 hits and had 4 walks and 11 strikeouts.
"You know what he's going to throw. You know what to expect. And you still can't hit it," the Washington skipper told reporters after the shutout loss to the Florida Marlins.
"He just had a real deceiving fastball today and he was throwing it for strikes."
In 28 starts this season Reynolds has compiled a 9-9 record and a 4.03 ERA.

Nick Schmidt of the Atlanta Braves shut out the Washington Nationals 5-0, held them to 4 hits with no walks and 12 strikeouts. Schmidt said, "I could throw any pitch on any count."
The Washington skipper called his game a jewel, saying, "The way he was pitching, it would have been tough for anyone to beat him."
