| Breaking News | | Monday, May 31st, 2010: Hot Bat of Lind Burns Twins There are moments in a player's career that they will not soon forget. Adam Lind of the Indians had one of those moments when he went 5 for 5 at the plate today, but he couldn't pull out the victory. Despite his hitting heroics, Cleveland fell in defeat 2-1 to the Minnesota Twins at Jacobs Field.
The 26-year-old third baseman told reporters in the postgame interview, "This was quite a day for me individually, but a little disheartening at the same time. It would have been very special, if we had won the game."
A. Lind singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
Lind is hitting .360 so far this season with 27 RBIs and 36 runs scored. He has 77 hits including 5 home runs, 14 walks and .396 OBP. | | Wednesday, May 26th, 2010: Minnesota Shut Out by Larrison Toronto hurler Preston Larrison put on quite a show today as he blitzed the Minnesota Twins with a 5-0 shutout. He baffled them with fastballs and changeups, allowing 2 hits with 15 strikeouts and 4 walks to pick up the win.
The opposing manager told reporters after the game, "I think every time we were looking for a fastball, he threw a changeup and every time we were looking for a changeup, he threw a fastball."
So far in 11 starts this season, Larrison has recorded 4 wins and sustained 4 losses. He has pitched 70.2 innings, yielded 73 hits, fanned 77 and has a 4.58 ERA. | | Monday, May 24th, 2010: Hit Parade! Lerud Pops 5 Hits! "Believe it or not," said Minnesota catcher Steven Lerud, "they threw me some good pitches today."

"He made it look easy," said the Cleveland manager, who saw his team fall to the Minnesota Twins, 12-4.
"Hats off to him!"
This year Lerud is batting .375 with 12 hits, 1 home run, 3 RBIs, 2 walks, .412 OBP and has scored 3 runs. | | | | Team Information | | Record overall | 29-44, .397 PCT | | Position in Division | 5th, 21.0 GB | | Record at home | 18-20, .474 PCT | | Record on the road | 11-24, .314 PCT | | Record in X-inning games | 5-3, .625 PCT | | Record in one-run games | 9-10, .474 PCT | | Record versus LHP | 8-14, .364 PCT | | Record versus RHP | 21-30, .412 PCT | | Record last 10 games | 3-7, .300 PCT | | Record in April | 5-20, .200 PCT | | Record in May | 13-15, .464 PCT | | Record in June | 11-9, .550 PCT |
