 | Sunday, June 15th, 2008: Binghamton's Zumaya Stands Out in Shutout "He was kind of teasing them with his offspeed stuff and his fastball was moving everywhere," the Binghamton skipper said in postgame comments after Joel Zumaya had shut out the Bowie BaySox 12-0 on a 4-hit masterpiece. Zumaya numbered 6 strikeouts and issued 1 walk in a gem of a performance. "We just didn't swing the bats very well . . . or he just pitched good, whichever way you want to look at it," complained the Bowie manager after the defeat. In 2008 Zumaya has a 3-5 record with a 3.61 ERA. |
