 | Saturday, July 12th, 2008: Gallardo Magnificent in Altoona Win In an excellent mound performance, Yovani Gallardo of the Bowie BaySox whitewashed the Altoona Curve 14-0 on a 4-hitter. He said after the game, "I had my best stuff and did a good job of mixing up my pitches." The Altoona manager said, "We just didn't swing the bats well today. Gallardo did a good job keeping us guessing." In all, the Bowie hurler rang up 8 strikeouts and no walks in the shutout win. In 2008 Gallardo has compiled a 3-8 record with a 5.13 ERA. |
