 | Monday, July 7th, 2008: Bisons Star DTD with Injury Buffalo team officials speculated whether star reliever Porfirio Valdez would be scratched from today's ballgame after he suffered a damaged meniscus in yesterday's matchup with the Toledo Mud Hens. Valdez denied reports that he would miss a lot of time, but added that he would not risk further injury by playing. This season Valdez has picked up no saves and posted a 4-3 record with a 3.71 ERA. He has no relief appearances, tossed 99.1 innings and struck out 77. |
