 | Saturday, October 25th, 2008: Kansas City Wins World Series Crown There is great joy in Kansas City today after the Royals thumped St. Louis 17-7 to cop the 2008 ASBL World Series. They defeated the Cardinals 4-1 to take the series. This was the 1st time Kansas City has garnered the league title. During the regular season the Royals chalked up a 123-39 mark and finished up in first place in the American League Central Division. |
