ASBL News Article | | | Thursday, October 2nd, 2008: Triple Crown Year for Snyder Brad Snyder is sitting on top of the world tonight. He got himself a Triple Crown this year -- the 1st player in ASBL history to ever accomplish this feat.
The Kansas City Royals right fielder outpaced the rest of the AL offensively this year. Snyder, age 24, hit .342, collected 50 home runs and chipped in 130 RBIs for the Royals. He led in all three categories to capture the Triple Crown, one of the rarer feats in baseball.
"It's all about hard work," noted one club official, "Brad arrives early, takes extra BP and really make a science of hitting. He religiously studies the pitchers. Keeps a journal on all of 'em. He's very thorough." | |
