Tuesday, September 9th, 2008: Blue Jays Keppel Tosses Masterpiece
"My pitching coach told me before the game just to bear down and focus. He said no one was going to hit me if I'm throwing a good breaking ball with good location."

And that's what Bob Keppel did as he led the Blue Jays to a 3-0 shutout victory over the Angels.

"I thought he put the ball where he wanted to," the Anaheim manager said. "And that's just about the whole secret to pitching."

Keppel yielded 6 hits and had 10 strikeouts and no walks in a standout performance.

To date this year, Keppel shows a 13-7 record, 27 starts, 177 innings, 191 strikeouts and a 3.71 ERA.
