Saturday, August 23rd, 2008: Detroit Blanks White Sox
Angel Guzman of Detroit easily handled the Chicago (A) White Sox, stopping them on 4 hits and chucking a complete game 2-0 shutout.

"He really did a job on us," said the Chicago (A) manager. "He had good command of his pitches. He changed speeds well and pretty much confused us. We never could zero in on him, but he certainly zeroed in on us."

Guzman said, "Everything was working for me. Throwing my breaking stuff over the plate was big."

He finished the game with 4 strikeouts and 1 walk in a solid outing.

Over the season Guzman has thrown 188 innings and dished out 102 strikeouts with a 10-12 mark and a 3.35 ERA.
