Tuesday, July 29th, 2008: Mateo 5-5 Against Indians
Henry Mateo really did a number on the Indians in the Seattle 13-8 victory. Not just anyone can get 5 hits in 5 at-bats. But Henry Mateo did just that today for the Mariners and gave his batting average a healthy boost and sparked his club in the win.

"I felt real good in the batter's box today. I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done," the 31-year-old second baseman said after his record-setting performance.

H. Mateo singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off B. Basham in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, walked in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off J. Osting in the 9th.

Thus far this year Mateo is batting .333 with 14 home runs, 63 RBIs and 64 runs scored.
