Saturday, July 26th, 2008: Royals Win, Shut Out Orioles
Kansas City starter Carlos Hernandez really did a number on the Orioles today, shutting them out 3-0 on 3 hits in a complete game victory. He issued no walks and had 10 strikeouts.

In his postgame comments, the Baltimore manager said, "We didn't have good at-bats. I don't make excuses, but when we were playing the game, our energy didn't show. That comes from either extremely good pitching or extremely lousy hitting... seeing as our team has a bunch of pretty good hitters, I have to tip my cap to Carlos... he did an outstanding job today."

In 22 starts this season Hernandez has notched a 13-3 record and a 1.67 ERA.
