 | Tuesday, July 15th, 2008: Oswalt Dominates, Whitewashes Rangers Roy Oswalt of the Baltimore Orioles spun his magic on the Texas Rangers today. He blanked them 2-0 on 6 hits, registering 8 strikeouts and 1 walk. "The bottom line was I just kept the ball down," Oswalt said. "My breaking stuff was down. Everything was down." Talking to reporters in the postgame interview, the Baltimore skipper said, "We got solid pitching, good defense and we took great team at-bats in a lot of different situations. This was just a solid performance by everyone." This season Oswalt has compiled a 7-6 mark with a 3.13 ERA. |
