What a week it was for Michael Restovich! The Houston first baseman took National League Player of the Week honors after wearing out the pitchers with a .545 batting average in his recent games.
Restovich registered 6 hits in 11 at-bats as he cracked 4 home runs and drove in 7 runs.

The American League made it official today: Carlos Quentin is the Player of the Week.
He really glistened on the diamond this week with a .429 average to take home the honor. The Oakland right fielder went 6-14, drove in 5 runs, scored 6 times and hit 3 home runs.

 | Sunday, April 5th, 2009: Brad Wilkerson to Miss 3-4 Weeks
It took the Baltimore team doctor a while to realize it, but right fielder Brad Wilkerson won't simply play through a damaged meniscus after he got hurt making a defensive play in today's White Sox-Orioles game. At first, it looked like Wilkerson might be back as early as tomorrow, but now the prognosis isn't quite so good; he's expected to miss at least 3-4 weeks. A spokesman for the club described the loss of Wilkerson as a blow, but was confident that he'd be back soon.
